Guidance Counselors

The Guidance Department at Hunter's Creek Middle School is developmental in nature and includes many programs to meet the needs of our students. We promote a planned program for delivering guidance services, with a major emphasis on classroom and small group guidance. There is one specific counselor who deals with each grade level. The responsibilities of the counselors also include scheduling, conferencing with teams and parents, individual counseling, and staffing of regular students.

Staffing Specialist

The Staffing Specialist is assigned to Hunter's Creek Middle School by the Department of Student Support and Exceptional Education Services to serve as the district representative for Exceptional Education Staffing and meetings. The Staffing Specialist coordinates consultative services and assists parents and staff in providing appropriate educational services to promote integration and success for all Exceptional Education students.

S.A.F.E. (Student Assistance and Family Empowerment)

The S.A.F.E. Program is part of the Student Services Department. It consists of a specialist counselor, faculty, and staff who can provide support and address immediate problems faced by students.

School Resource Officer

The Orange County Sheriff's Department and Orange County Public Schools provide a deputy on each middle school campus to create a positive image of law enforcement, and insure a safe environment. The deputy also serves as a resource teacher and is part of our S.A.F.E. Program.
