Administrator Assistance

Your administrator will work with you in developing an Individual Professional Development Plan that:

• relates to specific student performance data for those areas to which you are assigned.
• contains clearly defined training objectives.
• specifies measurable improvement in student performance resulting from your training activities.
• includes an assessment component documenting the expected student performance gains.

Although you must complete the IPDP process as part of your annual evaluation, the outcome is not used to assess teacher performance. However, that does not make the IPDP meaningless. The object of the IPDP is for you to learn something. For example, even if you do not accomplish your goal, you might learn that a particular strategy doesn't work.
